more pictures from the aftermath of HURRICANE IKE

not feeling very creative at the moment. i'll share some of the sillyness @ a later time but thought you might like to see some more of the photos for now.

our entire neighborhood had trees down. here are just a few as we were driving on the first day, including a shot of what the streets looked like:

a shot through the window of our backyard the morning after...TYING the trampoline to the trees WILL keep it from blowing away...it will not, however, keep it from being crushed by falling trees:

and then the ceiling (or lack thereof) in my family room...last night two of the biggest BUGS you've ever seen, along with a lizard, decided to 'drop by' for a visit through the new 'door' in our house and sooooo bobby is on his way to home depot to buy plywood as i type this!

pics of the cranes & tree removal @ a later time...just sitting down to take a break for a minute.

oy. sorry again.

have you gotten a free blue tarp from FEMA yet? we were a blue roofed community for quite awhile.

make sure you include everything if/when you file with FEMA. including time away from your jobs and time spent making repairs, etc. they WILL reimburse for that!

and again...i know it likely seems like life will never be back to normal...it will!
